A customer in Nicaragua contacted us regarding a slurry-transfer requirement. The liquid was not suitable for a conventional clean-water pump because the operating medium could contain sediment and suspended material.
The customer provided two important hydraulic requirements: a flow rate of approximately 165 cubic metres per hour and a total head of 28 metres.
After evaluating these parameters, our engineers recommended the 100ZW165-28 pump with a 30 kW motor.
The selected pump offered the required balance between transfer capacity and discharge pressure.
Its 165 m³/h flow rate supports efficient removal of accumulated water and slurry. The 28 m head allows the liquid to be delivered through the connected pipeline to the required discharge location.
The 30 kW drive was matched to the hydraulic duty to provide stable power during operation. As a submersible unit, the pump can be placed close to the liquid source, simplifying the overall installation layout.
For slurry and sediment-handling projects, pump selection must consider more than flow and head. Particle size, solids concentration, liquid density and operating time can also influence the final configuration.
For this Nicaragua order, the pump was prepared as a practical solution for:
The project demonstrates how the 100ZW series can be configured for overseas customers requiring compact pumping equipment for difficult wastewater conditions.
